At the Lake

 Went to the lake this weekend.

It wasn't too hot or too cold.

It was just right.

 I got to have a lot of pier time because, as you know, I'm trustworthy.

I'm no runner (like Daisy).

 The weekend wasn't all fun and games though.

I did plenty of ranch security.

 I'm excellent at perimeter work.

There's a lot of territory to cover.

 The critters were plentiful.

I caught a a vole ... 

and I'm proud to say I chomped down and shook it till it stopped moving.

Me:  1

Vole:   0  

   

It wasn't all work.  

Got some nice, relaxing pier time in with Mom.

But my favorite part of the weekend was going for a boat ride.

 I definitely could have made the jump, but Dad said no.

He said this is a carry on maneuver only.

 2nd best part:  getting to help Dad drive.

 Best part:  cruising with Kevin John

 Nothing feels as good as the wind in your ears.
